Feeling Overwhelmed By All The Home Business and Internet Opportunity Hype?

If so, you are not alone. There is so much out there and every opportunity promises the moon! If you are like me, you get a little bit suspicious of those sites that promote outrageous personal riches using slick images of fast cars and large homes. To me, it plays in peoples’ greed and looks like a fly-by-night vehicle to take your money and run.

Perhaps I am wrong. I know some of those sites have been around for a few years. Others pop up every day, are heavily promoted by affiliates, and then drop off into oblivion with nary another glance. So, where do you turn?

In the past year or so, I’ve noticed an up tick in the next generation of Internet promotion sites. Instead of offering you seemingly unlimited income overnight simply by signing up, this new breed actually offers to TEACH YOU THE INS AND OUTS OF INTERNET MARKETING! (And of course, some sites incorporate both the education and slick images of wealth.)

Most of these sites appear to genuinely want to help people succeed. And people ARE succeeding. The Internet has opened new and unprecedented opportunities for individuals to obtain wealth in ways we could not fathom even as recently as 10 years ago.

The catch, of course, is you need to actually take the time to LEARN the tricks to effective Internet marketing. That takes effort on your part. And time. And often times--although not always--Seed Money.

I am always looking for ways to increase my knowledge and productivity as I navigate home business opportunities in cyberspace. But some of these sites seem to make me more confused than before. The content is difficult to access or the site isn’t terribly concise. And they generally all require membership fees.

So if you don’t have the budget and don’t know how to start, where do you go?

There are some excellent ebooks out there, such as Brad Weinman’s “Attraction Marketing Blueprint,” that takes you step by step on how to market yourself and successfully build an online business. However, sometimes you need someone to hold your hand and guide you through the process, a service which an e-book usually cannot provide.

The fastest way to get started online is to begin marketing other products as an affiliate. This is done through ClickBank. If you’ve been looking at online opportunities for a while, you undoubtedly are familiar with this company. They offer training too! And that part is free.

Getting started and building momentum with an online business has a rather large learning curve for the newbie. The more solid knowledge you can get, and the more diligent you are, the more successful you will be!

Find a mentor or two you trust and use them for guidance and as a beacon for what works and what is a fad. Also, take your time looking into the myriad of opportunities floating around. If you don’t understand the concept or business model, steer clear until you do. And if you are “sold” on a product or service, only invest what you could afford to lose, and pull out your seed money as soon as possible and play with the “house money.”

Good luck and happy profits!

Is this the end of social advertising?

The realm of social advertising seems to be in an uproar right now.

Although I only actively participate in two, most of the more popular sites appear to be undergoing a lot of changes lately and are trying to reinvent themselves away from the weekly rebates and into other programs completely unrelated to social advertising.

Sadly these programs are now coming forward and admitting the programs are not sustainable in their current form.

AdGateWorld
This group has been trying to revamp their program since the business was sold and new management took over. Since then, we've been in a "wait and see" mode.

They now came out with an announcement that the program will no longer exist in its present form but instead will be launching other, more sustainable programs to its members.

Here is part of the announcement they made regarding this change:
"AdGateWorld will cease to exist in its current form but we will continue to communicate and bring REAL strategies that we are developing to your inbox. Some of these are brand new internet concepts that will be shared with each of you FIRST before public launch. Some are completely passive while others are affiliate based. We believe that placing our focus on these non-surf projects will be far more successful at this stage. Everything that we are working on WILL be shared with former AdGateWorld members. In the coming weeks you will have the ability to gain a spot (limited to 500) in the pre-launch of RocketRaffle.com. It is the first 24 hour online raffle system that will provide massive traffic generation and an affiliate program. Members of AdGateWorld that chose to participate will reap the benefits of this incredible new project. Today may be the end of one dream but all of us will succeed in the exciting projects that will be introduced shortly."

Current AGW members can choose to participate in these programs and I believe we can still advertise our sites without the benefit of revenue sharing.

AdVentures4U
This group announced a few weeks ago they have no choice but to halt revenue sharing/ad rebates. This was sad news as so many of us believed in this program, and many other social advertising sites copied this program.

Right now the group is busy processing all payouts requested by pro members. As of Friday, payouts to Solid Trust Pay were pending but Alert Pay and Strict Pay were mostly complete.

Since they announced they would no longer pay out rebates, they seem to be working hard to promote other revenue streams, in which all members can participate. The main program at this point is http://tradinggold4cash.com/.

All Pro members with balances under $10,000 are still required to surf each day. Once the payouts are complete, this group will roll out a new Revenue Share program.

To sign up as a free member and check out what this group has to offer going forward, click here: http://ad-ventures4u.com/index.php?ref=99551

There are many programs out there like AdGateWorld and AdVentures4U. My general opinion (and it's just mine) is I prefer to spread out my resources over many different revenue streams.

Social Advertising is an intriguing industry, but whether or not it will continue to operate in its present form is questionnable. That said, I plan to stay with these programs, continue to surf for advertising credits, and see where they take us.

What's Happening with AdGateWorld and Ad-Ventures4U Social Advertising

Social Advertising has been an interesting and rapidly growing forum for increasing exposure to web sites and blogs, as well as create weekly revenue through the revered profit-sharing structure.

Two of the more popular sites I am actively participating in are AdGateWorld and Ad-Ventures4U. Both businesses are less than a year old and both currently seem to be having growing pains.

Let's begin with AdGate.

AdGateWorld
This group officially launched January 2009 after several months of prelaunch buzz. I joined as a free member in November 2008 and began tracking them, and invested money in the spring. The group seemed to be running pretty well and offered great promotions up until the upgrades they did earlier this summer.

The new look and feel of the site after their upgrades was nice. They credited back all monies, including bonus money from upgrades and promotions, as a way of saying "thank you" to their loyal followers. The pay structure they were implementing looked good too, as it would offer higher compensation for revenue sharing.

Also the various areas this group launched, such as AdGate Classifieds, and the ever developing AdGate Finance and GateScout, are added bonuses to members as a way to connect with others, share information and opportunities, and generally gain insight and knowledge.

During the upgrade period, the site was down for roughly a week. It came back online and everything seemed to look pretty solid.

About a week later, this group announced new management was acquiring and taking over all aspects of AdGateWorld, but assured us they would take the business to the next level and not much would change.

Offline, I am a business broker. So that critical side of me kicked in upon this news. As a business broker, as well as to prospective buyers of businesses, a business less than 2 years old being sold is a HUGE red flag. Why so soon? What's the underlying reason for wanting or needing to sell? What led to the owners' decision to sell while the business is still ramping up and getting established?

If you are a member of AdGate, you are undoubtedly getting their email correspondence and seeing their updates on the "In Touch" page. They basically acknowledged earlier this week the company is running in the red and they are taking steps to fix the current financial situation.

The down side is I, and presumably many people, have not seen any revenue sharing for two weeks. That means I haven't seen rebates from my ad packs since new management took over.

The argument is that revenue is down, the promotional bonuses previously offer are dragging down the company overhead, new money coming into the organization has flat lined, and they must remain solvent. They are asking everyone to do their part to bring in new money and members so everyone will benefit going forward.

Obviously, these are solid reasons to be conservative with their cash flow, but I fear this will have the opposite effect of what they want and badly need. The longer they hold out on those of us who are actively participating in the program, surfing the required sites, and opting to roll over weekly ad rebates, the more likely people will bolt, pull their money, and stop promoting.

And so a downward spiral will go.

I truly hope this will not happen. I understand AdGate's side of the story, but also see how people will get upset if this continues much longer.

My sense is they are working through an uncomfortable growing pain and come out the other end a more secure and solid company.

My recommendation is to proceed cautiously with this group for the next month or so and see if things smooth out. If you decide to purchase new ad packs, only invest what you are comfortable spending.

If you are not a member and would like to sign up for free, click here to view the main page.

Ad-Ventures4U

This group is also upgrading their site and servers. I think this is a good thing, because it was taking forever for sites to load while doing my daily surfing.

Steve is very good about communicating to all members at least once each day about what is happening, and communication is always a good sign. :-)

It seems like they are having some problems with scripting as the current site is up but they are diligently working to launch the new "gold" site. I am not surprised by this. Upgrades always seems to take longer than expected and technological improvements invariably bring about an unanticipated snafu.

Generally I think the site is becoming easier to navigate and I look forward to seeing all the features and benefits they roll out.

The biggest problem I am personally seeing with this group surrounds the surf feature. For the last 7-10 days Ad-Ventures has added a ticker that counts down the sites remaining you must surf to qualify for the rebate.

That's great...except it almost always seems to stop and freeze up with just one site left to surf. And if I refresh? It starts the counter again! ARGH!

This week Ad-Ventures changed this ticker to count down in increments of five. Pro Members are still required to surf 25 sites each day, so we need to count how many groups of 5 sites we surf. Again, that's fine although it makes for more work keeping track of the actual number of sites surfed.

Although they haven't specifically said, I think this change might be because so many members were having trouble getting their surf credits.

The problem I encountered yesterday was that the surf page froze again twice while I had just one site left in each of the "five packs". There doesn't seem to be anything you can do about it. I hope for everyone's sake they get this glitch fixed soon and we see a smooth transition to the fully integrated new site.

Ad-Ventures is a little behind on their ad rebate compensation, but they ARE paying and are good about communicating payment status to all members.

This group has been saying their memberships are growing at a phenomenal rate and recently hit 55,000 members. We have to take their word on this and I see no reason to doubt it. Overall this group seems to be on the ball and working in good faith for everyone, and I intend to keep tracking this group.

You can sign up for a free membership or just take a look around their site by clicking here.

I continue to think Social Advertising is a positive and inexpensive way of getting exposure to one's web site. There segment will undoubtedly continue to change and grow in the future, and I intend to keep using them as a way to building income and help build my online business as well.

As always, never spend more than you can afford to lose, withdraw your seed money as soon as you can, and play with the profits/house money onward and upward.

Enjoy the rest of your summer! Until next time...

Introducing a New Program and Updates on Others

Greetings! I hope you are done with all the end-of-schoolyear and/or graduation craziness that plagues so many of us this time of year. My son graduated from preschool! Did such fanfare exist when I finished preschool way back when? I honestly don't remember, but somehow doubt it.

We've also been busy with various cousins graduating from 6th grade, high school and college! And now we're gearing up for my son's 5th birthday celebration and lots of visitors over the coming month. This summer promises to be fun and busy!

And ya know, that's the reason why any of us look at passive income opportunities, isn't it? I don't know about you, but I personally LOVE receiving money even if I take some time off to focus on friends and family. It's so much better than the rat race! :-D

Okay, let's get right down to it, shall we?

QLx3

This is NEW program in my portfolio I am really excited about.

QLx3 uses the same model that MrsVIP/V-Lane is utilizing. It combines a front-end networking model (matrix) with a passive income producing model. Those who choose to actively promote it are rewarded for their efforts by virtue of extra income from the matrix.

However, the vast majority of the members are totally passive. They haven't earned a dime from the matrix, yet they're very pleased with their earnings from the passive income producing vehicles.

Minimum to get started: $260

What is QLX3?
QLx3 is a Global Social Network that holds an exclusive gateway to a very private organization whose members can join an International Credit Union.

Once you upgrade to "active status" in QLx3, you're invited to join The Oxford Privacy Group (OPG), which offers its members ownership and deposit privileges in the Credit Union, where projected earnings are an average of .4% to 1%+ - compounded daily per trading day. (Roughly 10 - 18% per month)

Members may make deposits up to a $10,000 limit during any 180 day period.
The fact that your deposit never expires (earn for life) and that interest can be compounded does make the return more attractive.

Generally monies in for 1 year have increased to 400%. Those from the beginning of late May 2007 until September 16, 2008 = $10K became $48.6K

Another important thing to note is that deposits into the Credit Union are claimed to be backed up and insured by a major company. I can't disclose the name due to a non-disclosure agreement, but I'm not aware of any other private program that provides an insurance policy to its members. This, by itself, is a powerful enough reason to join.

They have a very conservative approach to making money by doing solid research to find secure returns; they work hard at it. The insurance company recently doubled the insurance coverage per member from $50,000 to $100,000 - obviously because they see this as low risk.Because of the chaos in the markets of late, they've been able to cash in on some great profits.

In the period from October 6th through October 23rd there was an increase of 14.35%.There are monthly fees for QLx3 of $15 ($50 to join which includes your first month's fees). Then one must join the Privacy Group with an annual membership fee of $150. Then you need to submit some sort of photo ID and secondary ID--such as a utility bill, in order to prove you exist and reside at the address you give. Once your KYC documents (identification) are submitted and verified, the Credit Union and benefits can be accessed.

There's no Forum for QLx3 or OPG, but there's an archive of past calls and regular update calls once or twice per month. Everything is low key and straightforward. There are a few things on the QLx3 site: Recommended programs like V-Lane and Treasures. One can join QLx3 for free and listen to past calls which only give passing reference to the Privacy Group or Credit Union.

If you decide to join, I suggest a minimum of $310 in SolidTrustPay to pay the initial fees and have enough left over to fund your Credit Union account to grow over time. You can preload your QLx3 back-office with fees to be paid for future months. Some people may even make a little money on the Matrix, however no recruiting or marketing is required to earn passively.

To ensure you get access to the exclusive International Credit Union you need to do the following:

1. Sign up for FREE at the Social Networking site: Quantum Leap (QLx3).

Note: The sponsor on website should read topshelf - Click ‘JOIN’ and under ‘Display Content’ write how you want your name to appear on your website. Under “4 Buy” Option put NO (unless you're planning on referring a lot of people, then it's wise to choose YES).

2. Fund your Solid Trust Pay (STP) account with at least $310.

3. Your free position does NOT entitle you to earn anything or offer any of the advantages of QLx3 membership until you UPGRADE; once upgraded, you lock in your position.

NOTE: If you refer others and your referrals upgrade before you do, you'll lose that person... so upgrade right away!

Follow the directions in the email you receive after you sign up.

This costs a one-time upgrade fee of $50 in STP. When you have money in your STP account, just click 'Upgrade' in your QLx3 back office and follow the procedure. You have to be a paid member of QLx3 in order to have access to the International Credit Union.

QLx3 is the ONLY doorway to get involved with the International Credit Union and the daily profits it can generate for you.

4. Once you're upgraded, you may now join the 'Affinity Group' or what's formally known as the Oxford Privacy Group, and be in a position to access the exclusive International Credit Union. Currently the annual fee for the International Credit Union is $150 in STP.

5. Once you’re a paid member of QLx3, login to your back office and click on PRODUCTS & SERVICES and then click on ‘Oxford Privacy Group’ to sign up with OPG for $150 in STP.

6. The credit union does require a minimum account deposit of $100 to keep your account active. If you don't deposit the $100 minimum within 7 days, your account will be closed by the credit union.

7. Once you're an Oxford Privacy Group member, read the "news" section, or follow the instructions you receive in the acceptance email on how to open your credit union account. To open your account you'll need proper identification so that they may maintain compliance with the banking laws of the host country.

8. To remain active in QLx3 and have continuing access to the Affinity Group and the ICU, there's a monthly fee of $15 in STP (this can come out of your matrix earnings only if you decide to refer others – if not, you'll have to pay the $15 monthly).

9. There's no obligation or requirement to recruit anyone, so you can be completely passive. Obviously, those that share the QLx3 program will pick up more commissions, but it's a forced matrix so there's a good chance of spillover.

Personal opinion: QLx3, with the access to OPG and the daily interest program with deposits insured against loss, could be a big winner in 2009 just like it was for 2007 and 2008. With a two-year track record and many happy members around the world, I can't find any reason not to join. I consider the credit union a very reliable, secure, and lucrative opportunity for you to earn long-term residual income on your deposits!

I believe this program is sound enough, but I always recommend the cautious approach; e.g., put in an amount you can live without and then withdraw the earnings until you're playing with house money.

AdGateWorld

This program is moving right along although they are making a lot of changes lately. The goal, of course, is to retain members and keep everyone involved and purchasing ad packs.

To begin, this group modified their payment structure. Instead of earning daily rebates, the rebates accrue over the week and are paid out ONCE on Sundays.

The program also set up so members can withdraw funds ONCE a week--on Fridays. Members are allowed to withdraw up to 70% of the rebate cash balance on this day only. The remaining cash balance is reinvested in advertising packages early Saturday.

It is important to understand that if members do NOT withdraw funds, it will be automatically reinvested into these ad packs every Saturday.

The purpose of these changes are not to make life inconvenient for anyone. Rather, they are trying to strengthen the business model so everyone wins and the site endures over the long haul.

My position here is still withdraw your seed money as you can and play with the house money. With the steps set forth it will take longer to recoup the seed money, but I understand why they are making these changes.

And to help encourage buying ad packs, which truly is the reason this program exists at all, AdGateWorld is now also offering a nice promotion:

*********************************************************

Minimum 250 Ad Pack Purchase --------------- 10% with Sponsor Match
Minimum 1000 Ad pack Purchase -------------- 25% with sponsor Match

This is a limited time promotion. Direct purchase option using Alert Pay, Solid Trust Pay or bank wire now available.
Best Regards,

********************************************************

Anyone interesting in this program should click here for more details and to sign up for free. For funding, they util

In addition to the promotions, AdGate has set in motion a new Automated Business Builder System. This is a new program that has not launched just yet, but what they are offering is to close your sales for you, so this becomes a fully integrated and passive business to grow over time, in addition to the social advertising aspect.

Here's what they are proposing to do for those who sign up as an Auto Business Builder member:

  • A state of the art 2 video web site system

  • We oversee and manage ALL lead generation for you

  • We close ALL deals for you.

  • We continue to follow up on anyone who doesn’t close right away for you—we will NEVER STOP trying to close for you

  • Anyone who signs up will get signs up gets $1200 worth of free gas and groceries.

This will be a different website they are actively building now. Stay tuned for details and check your back office periodically for more details as this endeavor progresses.

Also, AdGateWorld recently launched a ForEx Trading platform. Full details of what is in our personal 'Forex Toolbox'. Check it out by clicking on the InTouch link and going to the new Forex Trading tab.

And last but not least, this group just launched a new advertising platform. It is a FREE ‘craigslist style’ ad center can be reached from the member menu link for AdGate Classified.

Each posting is good for 45 days. Soon members will be able to buy premier banner ads on the page. This translates into more great traffic generation opportunities for everyone.

In support of this new endeavor, the group has launched live Webinars and training calls. Log into your account for more details.

Revenue growth is tied to new member/ advertiser purchases just like any brick and mortar advertising agency. Although no selling or recruiting is required, AdGate is clearly looking to motivate members to help increase membership and thus, revenue.

Personal Opinion: This group seems to be having a few growing pains but also have some very interesting plans they are putting into place. This could be a banner year for this group that is clearly thinking big. If you have any interest in Social Advertising, this group worth considering, and members could be well positioned as more programs are introduced.

AAN

Well, it looks like we're getting closer to seeing what we've been waiting for - inventory showing up in our back offices with profits attached to them!

Founder and CEO, Chris Bell recently sent out the email below inviting any interested parties to stop by their main facility in Vancouver:

_______
"Let me inform you that we are making successful progress each and every day whether we experience some technical issues or not. We have increased staff and are hiring more frequently.

Each department is contributing to our goals. We are caught up on data entry lists for the first automated inventory assignment roll out. We had a few issues with and eventually upgraded our image hosting server. Most image files have been pulled off of all corporate systems and have been transferred to the new server for use in the listing process.

New security features have been added to our site to make it as secure as a Bank website. Also we have upgraded and installed new advanced alarm systems and monitoring on all of our warehouses to protect our products.

James Rivers finished our New Logo and has finished re branding our Twitter Page and created amazing business cards for our staff which samples arrive next week. Now with the Logo finalized James will be creating all of the other variations of promotional material for staff and members use like Banners, Buttons, Letter Heads etc etc.

Ted & Cody are banging away on coding the very intricate requests I put upon them for our assignment of acquisitions process. I have put pressure on them to create a dual process that assigns to members accounts.. 1st process fills accounts in order of position and the second wraps around the whole membership so everyone experiences activity quickly.

We know this process has taken longer than we would like but it is taking its natural course of development. Time lines are sometimes speculative and estimates but you can rest assured we are doing what we can and will Not stop until we have a quality code to work with.

David is the Head of the Bee Hive I call it and is doing a great job at controlling 11 staff's tasks among training and hiring additional people. Dwane has managed to set up several incredibly overloaded showrooms for customer and Member convenience.

We normally operate in a more warehoused environment but need to show you all what massive retail facilities loaded with everything you can possibly imagine look like. We are at the stage now to Welcome all members to visit us Live at our premises to enjoy and verify what we do. I welcome you ALL!

PS.. I will certainly poke my nose in here more often as I am very pleased at where we are and what we Can accomplish. I thank Each and Every last one of you for your Support and Patience while we create this Giving Monster.

Be Well..

Kind Regards,

Chris Bell - President/CEO

TriVita

This company continues to steadily grow and has been termed a sleeping giant. It is an 11 years old, debt free health and wellness company that offers a very unique business model.

TriVita is humming along without much ado. They just keep paying out like clockwork without much fanfare. It's a terrific company and my number 1 Home Based Business. It requires work and you do not make a ton of money overnight. BUT, this company has legs and this is a business you can participate for your future and to fund your retirement. Again, no selling or recruiting is required!

That said, here ARE the latest updates from TriVita.

TriVita Annual Convention

Once a year, the opportunity to get together and meet the corporate staff, gain insights on building this business, and just plain have fun is set in place, and this is a milestone year for TriVita as they're celebrating their 10 Year Anniversary.

TriVita just announced the dates for the next Galaxy of Stars event, which will be held once again in Scottsdale Arizona on October 1st - 3rd. I encourage anyone interested to please try to attend. It's an amazing event.

Product Update

TriVita recently launched the new Sonoran Bloom product line. Trivita wants to target a younger demographic, and I've heard through the grapevine that the company plans on starting their new infomericals in September.

We're still able to buy the Sublingual B-12 customers and will even have the ability to soon buy Nopelea customers who will also be introduced to the business opportunity, which is HUGE news!

You can sign up as a customer or affiliate member, or start as a customer and upgrade later. The products are terrific and the twice-monthly publications are quite useful.

To learn more about this opportunity, click here and take a look around.

Whew, that was a lot of information! But I don't wanna waste anyone's time or bug people too much.

As always, I welcome your questions or comments.

Until next time, have a safe and properous early Summer.

Update on AdGateWorld

AdGateWorld seems to be humming along and making some exciting changes.

For starters, they brought on board a major network marketer who is bringing in some changes and new opportunities. These will be fully flushed out in the coming weeks.

Second, this company stopped accepting Liberty Reserve and a currency platform, effective May 1, due to the various DDoS attached LR has suffered.

The group is providing a preferred format, AdGate Cash, which interfaces with several platforms, such as Liberty Reserve, Solid Trust Pay, Alert Pay, Wire transfers, etc. Once a member's AdGate Cash account is funded, they can purchase advertising packages and participate in the daily rebates, as well as withdraw income.

More information about this program is forthcoming.
